Hazardous Materials Awareness Training

This training course is for BUILDING AND PROPERTY MANAGERS and covers the following:

  • Half day Mould Awareness

  • Half day Lead/Mercury/PCB and other hazardous building materials

  • Full day Asbestos awareness

    • DOES NOT include abatement certification

Asbestos Abatement Worker Training

This course is intended for ACTIVE EXPOSED WORKERS and covers the following:

  • Personal Protective Equipment

  • Respiratory Protection

    • Types of respirators and when to use them

    • Specific respirators for types of asbestos

  • Types of Asbestos, and Friable and Non-Friable Materials

  • Health Risks Associated with Asbestos Exposure

  • Regulations and Guidelines for working with Asbestos in Manitoba

  • Training for Abatement

    • Specific procedures for Type 1, Type 2 enclosures, Type 2 Glove Bagging, and Type 3 Conditions
